My Beaver had a block heater (freeze plug type) installed when I bought it. That type of heater is available online. Google it and you'll find 'em. Mine also had chains, saving me a bunch of money! Check your rear tire size and Google tractor tire chains and you'll find those. There are also some dealer who monitor the forums and may chime in with parts availability and advice.
Don't know where you're located, but I'm in Pennsylvania and even with our relatively mild winters the block heater is almost a necessity!

All you need to knw is what size the freeze plug is and put in a block heater. I installed one in my MT372D. It's behind the starter. Very easy install.
Mine is hard to start when it's below 50.
I would look for chains on E-Bay or locally. You only need the tire diamater to determine what size. If you got a size too big, they can be cut down to fit. Makes a big difference in traction.

Just put a block heater in mine this week. I have a MT180HD. The freeze plug was 44mm and I got the heater from an online Case/IH dealer. My tractor is the same as the IH 234.

On the MT180 the heater replaces the frost plug just below the oil filter.
BE SURE TO SPECIFY 400 WATTS as the 200's just don't cut it.
Any auto parts should be able to supply at less than $20.
Another member said that he purchased for a mere $5.00. (amazon, I think)

I found chains on craigs list for 125.00 a pair.Will fit tires 52in high x 16in wide.I am located in NE PA,if they are close in size you can trim them.

On the MT180 it is actually the Freeze Plug just ABOVE the oil filter.
