Hi
I just purchased 4 pcs 3/8" x 20' chain with hooks on each ends rated for 5400 pounds every third link has an L4 stamped on it. would L4 = 43 and if it does why wouldn't they just stamp 43 on the link?

L4=grade 43, "Designed for use in load binding, logging and other applications requiring higher strength to weight ratios than Grade 30 chain. Used extensively in the trucking industry for binder chains. Identified with "L4" or similar grade marking."
