Chain hooks

I would like to add chain hooks to the FEL on my Kubota BX 2230. I was thinking of welding on on the back side of the back wall of the bucket, just below the bucket tilt cylinder attachment.

Has anyone else done this? What do you paint the hook and bucket with after it's welded on? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I welded mine onto a piece of 1/4 inch steel about 6"x6", then welded this plate to the bucket.

Here's a photo of a corner of my bucket. It's got about 5 or 6 hooks on it, but they're not all in this picture of course. When I took this photo, I wasn't thinking of the hooks on the front end loader, so I just picked this one for you because it shows better than the others.

If you want, tomorrow I'll take some photos and post them here.... maybe it'll give you an idea or two.

Yeah me too- doesn't look like that anymore. I put on the bucket hooks the day after I got the tractor.

I'm not entirely sure how to post more than 1 image per message, so I'm sending 3 attachments in 3 messages.

This first image shows a chain hook at both top corners and one in the middle. Also, there are two huge homemade slip hooks near the center. They're good for utility and for (like I have here) wrapping your chain around so it's always with the bucket.
