Can anyone tell me if this FL already comes with chain hooks mounted on the top of the loader??
A picture in their (Century) advertising brochure has them already installed?? What about the
c/system BH? - One more question - Does the engine hour meter run even at idle or only at a certain RPM's ?

Thanks Steve

The factory buckets on the C-50 have a loop on either side of the bucket, you can install a hook in about 2 min. on to the loop by pulling the pin on the hook and installing it around the loop,Im not sure on the hour meter

The hooks (loops) you see on brochure are standard equipment. If you wanted I am sure an additional hook could be welded to the center of the bucket. A center hook can be very useful, keeping in mind though if you put to much of a load on it you can bend a bucket. As for the hour meter I believe it is a mechanical hour meter run by the tachometer. Therefore it is rpm sensitive, only when the engine is running at rated rpms is it truly counting real hours. The slower the engine runs the slower the hour meter runs. It is not uncommon on industrial equipment to work that way. I will verify this and get back to you.
Thanks

Thanks for the info - As I'm sure you can tell by my questions, this will be my first real tractor, so I have
a lot to learn. This forum has been very helpful. Here go's
Does the 2535 have position controls for the PTO? When and why would I need remote hydraulic outlets?

Thanks Steve

Yes, the 2535 has position control for the 3 point hitch but it does not have draft control. 3035 and up have draft control. Unless someone else here can tell us otherwise I think you would only use draft control when using a bottom plow or like implement.
As for hydraulic outlets they would be used on implements like an angle plow, hydraulic top link etc. Our backhoe does not require them. If you do not get them now they can be added later.
Hope that helps,

Chipperman - Are the remote hyd outlets installed by the MFG or dealer - Are their any advantages to have
them installed when buying, instead of after ($, etc)?

They are not installed by the mfg. They are either installed by American Jawa or the dealer. My guess is if you elect to get them later they will cost you more. I think it really boils down to if you think you may need them in the future buy them now. They are a small expense for some thing you most likely will have for a long time.

Steve,

Chipperman is absolutely correct!

I've not bought my tractor yet /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, but I've already decide that when I do, I'm going to have the extra remotres installed both in the rear and in the front. When you look at from the standpoint of spreading out the cost of the extra hydraulics over the life of the loan (assuming you have to go that route!), it will be substantially less expensive that way than trying to justify the expense later on. Plus, you'll have all of the hydraulics you'll ever need, so that you can purchase that hydraulically operated implement whenever you want it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What front hydraulic remotes are you speaking of? The only front mount (mounted on the loader) I am aware of is the 3rd function kit for Zetor loaders. It is adaptable for the Century loader and would be an excellent option for someone doing a lot of plowing with a loader mounted plow like the Curtis or Horst unit. (Horst unit is available with C-50 mount). It comes with a button that becomes part of the joy stick and when you press it it diverts oil to the outlets as well as lets you use the joystick to control it. On a Zetor it is commonly used with a bale grabber. You could also use it for a grapple bucket. Other then that I can’t think of much use for it on a 2535. If you did want it the dealer may want to have it installed on the tractor before it leaves the depot so you may need to wait a few weeks for delivery.
Hope that wasn’t to confusing,

Hi Jay,

Maybe I didn't use the correct "phraseology". Regarding the front hydraulics, I plan to have what's required for a 4-n-1 bucket, plus I will want the SSL quick-attach system so that Bobcat style attachments can be used on the front.

Am I misunderstanding what's required for this kind of set-up?
