Centrifugal filter Question.

Well the question is-How important are they?Was doing maintenance on my tractor and took the lid off to get to it and nothing. Before I call the dealer and do the deed I'd like to know how important it is.It has two other screens and a regular filter. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifThis is bad.Thanks.

Some of the smaller tractors no longer have centrifugal flow diverters on the air filter. I think that any piece of equipment that is exposed to dusty conditions, should have them, but they don't.

No, this centrifugal filter is in the transmission.Sorry,should of made that clear.

Update.Massey stopped using this filter on the power shuttles so there is just an empty housing there.
