( They are not opening up telemarketing to cell phones. You do not need to sign your cell phone up for the do not call list. I work for a cell phone co. now and they just sent us a big packet on this rumore going around last month. My cell is not reg. because no one is going to call it for marketing purposes. **** even your creditor are not allowed to call your cell phone unless you have given express permission to call your cell phone.

Hope this stands up... I also have worked in the cell side of things. I think the issue started when they 1st started talking about letting people, who killed thier landline, carry the landline # , (the # everyone already new to call them on), over to a cell phone. The story(s), I kept hearing was the telemarketing co's where complaing they would have no way of knowing that the number was now used on a cell phone and not a landline... as sertin #'s are listed a cell phones and so they always knew, if they checked, not to call a cell as it cost the end user $ in air time...This I think is why many are saying you should sign your cell up on the do not call list...
As one who does not have a landline, I do not put my cell down for a home # on any thing. Only in the work # location and even then only when I feel it needs to be.
I recall once when I filled out a app at the local movie rental they complained, I listed NA under home phone.
They asked me how they were to reach me if the wanted to discuss my account. I asked what hrs do usually call...? answer: between 8am and 5pm... I laughed and said what good would it do to call me at home even if I had a home #...??? as I like most folks I know, I work 8-5...??? They thought about it a second and lauged in return and accepted it... I use this ? any time someone complains about my NA under home #...
Lots of apps now have places for all three types... I still usually only fill out the work #...
I have gotten a few telemarket calls on the cell... I tell them no and not to call my cell again. If it winds up in vmail I just delete it... Have also gotten text spam- Got one on the wifes phone at 2am last nite (Fri). Just delete them and you will tipically not hear from them again...
