I hear that bad guys make good feed for wild pigs.
Every farm needs a hog pen just for that purpose.
I hear that bad guys make good feed for wild pigs.
It seems that certian people have lost all consideration for other folks property.I also had a village idiot that would tresspass and shoot towards my land.I got a survey and posted my land and finally had to go to court to keep him off my land. The knuckle head finally moved after he found out he could not bully the neighbors.Good luck to you.coobieSpoke to the Sheriffs Dept. this morning, pretty sure it was scraping, since the young guy's had no need for fence material. They apparently had taken 600# to the metal yard the day before.
Sheriff was able to stop them and inventory "another" load and all the deputy could say is the Investigators said we have a "tight" case and they are going to pursue it for anyone else they can "nab"
They crossed my fence 40' from a "Posted" sign and new I was out always out, armed and had cameras.:confused2:
I'm through being neighborly fellas, last weekend another neighbor across the road was shooting off their front porch and I had incoming rounds over the house while the wife and I was in the yard. I sent her in the house in a state of panic and then I drove down to the house. 2 mid 20's "men" drinking shooting where ever, I pulled up asked if they where shooting, they said "yes sir" I said that sh%$ stops right now. They actually where shaking and apologized, I told them they need to shoot into the bank of their own 16 acres or cr$p would hit the fan.
All was good till "inbred" daddy calls wanting to argue the facts, said he had instructed them where and how to shoot!! I just told him "so your the idiot that left to drunks with a loaded weapon", he hung up.
I don't cross fences without permission, I don't "snoop" over anyone's fences, I'll be damned if I tolerate even a "mistake" from this point on.
I have 2 really great neighbors, 1 works for Bell Helicopter, the other, is a family of "Hispanics" only 2 that speak English, they work hard and bother no one.
Years ago we had 367 acres, in over 12 years I only had one incident of "trespassers".
Sorry for the extra "rant, really PO's me when people abuse my space.
A few have asked about what cameras to buy. I have two different brands I like. Scoutguard and Covert. Both use the 'AA' batteries so they are small (not much bigger than a can of beer) and can be hidden easier. Battery life is great. Both have infrared so they take pictues or videos in the dark.
Several years I was working in Russia. Thieves were stealing high voltage lines. They would throw a cable over the line to trip the protection. They had to do it two times because the protection would reset once after the first cable is burned. When the power company figured out what they were doing they reprogrammed the protection. It tripped twice as before then waited 20minutes to allow them to climb the towers, reset again and killed the thieves.
