Cataract surgery and Light Adjustable Lens

I had some floaters but they zapped them quickly in a followup visit. My doc guaranteed the floaters would be taken care of. He said the record was 6 followup treatments and it was all included in the original cost.

Floaters are often from bleeding in the eye. Wife had to get her retinas fixed a few years ago because she said it looked like it was melting.

I've been in the room for the laser surgery. She had a top notch retina guy. (He went to Duke followed by Johns Hopkins for Eyes) He opened up his office on Christmas eve to fix her eye...brought his young kids along.

I have had both retina laser surgery and retina injections, the first time I had either I was scared chitless, but in reality it’s pretty much a piece of cake.
But then I, too have a very, very good doctor, with excellent chair side manners!

The left eye surgery went well. I go back this morning for a follow up visit.

It's still a little blurry, but that's normal from some swelling. I was more awake this time. I'm not sure why, but the nurse said it's normal for people to be more away for the second eye.

I'll update as I progress.

They told me not to drive for 2 days. My wife is available to take me to the follow up visit. I could have driven myself if no one was available.

I would not attempt to drive myself on the day of the surgery.

Policy here is no driving home post anesthesia and someone must be with you.

We recently had a housing challenged individual with no one and unable to afford private duty to take him home.

He opted no anesthesia so the procedure could happen and it did…
