3-Point Hitch Cat II to I back blade

Hello everyone, thank for the advice on the tractor buying, I ended up with a good deal on a John Deere 730 diesel and now I am preparing for the winter season. I can稚 find a trip bucket loader so I have decided to go to a back blade, but I am having the hardest time finding a Cat II 3 pt. back blade for my tractor in the area, all I can find is fully hydraulic ones for 4,000. I was wondering if it would a good idea to Buy a Cat I back blade and put it on the tractor, I will only be using it for snow, and if It would work, would all i need to do is add some bushings to it or would I have to flip/take off the sway blocks and everything,

Where is "winter season" for you?

What have you used before to remove snow where you are at?

I gather you cannot find a FEL at all for the 730. That right?

I'd be looking at putting a regular snow plow blade like from a truck plow on before going the 3 ph blade on the rear.

Have you looked at new blades? There should be plenty of good cat 1-2 rear blades that are not hydraulic and I believe they cost in the neighborhood of $1500. Here's one to look at.

The 730 has got "lot's of iron" in the pants! I'd think with a bit of use.. that Cat I blade will be alot worse for the wear!

Your initial purchase money up front... might just end up being - "educational expenses"!

Keep lookin' for a good, Cat II blade.

Might be hard to find in a non hydraulic version if shopping new, but that is a heavy tractor for sure and I would recommend looking for a blade rated for up to 100 hp.
