case 485 joystick --speed

Is there a way to slow the speed down? Example when lower the bucket, you have to very careful or it slam down.
Also is there a way/advantage to change from the joystick to a 2 lever setup like on forklifts?
I use to run forklifts daily and became very good at the 2 stick, this joystick is kickin my butt.
