folks,
am trying to think through the idea of adding a carryall to the 3pt hitch of my bx. i'd like to add a plarform or medium depth box of between 10 and 17 cu/ft. i don't want to trailer or tow a cart (storage space is non-existent presently).
has anyone succeeded at a project like this? or, better yet added a dump
feature to the bed?
a carryall would certainly increase it's functionality. i am eager to hear
( and see ) what people have done! thanks a million- shrekbelly

That looks like it's just right in size. I looked at the TSC's carry all today, and it looked huge. Where did you get it.?

I have the same one that Chuck shows in his picture (slightly different than the one shown in the link - there i is no tailgate). I purchased it at a local implement dealer and I don't know the make. Was about $320.

It has a pull lever that you can tie a rope to - pulling the rope will dump the box. It helps to have a hydraulic top link too - because sometimes the weight of the load is too far forward to dump. A quick tip of the toplink takes care of that.

I just bought some 3-point pallet forks off of ebay for $60 and built a box out of treated 2x4's and deck boards. It works great for transporting dirt, rocks, wood or any other loose material. It does not dump, but I don't have much need for a dump bed.

Looks like ae_ted had the same idea. Mine is very similar, just not quite as wide.

I have used a pallet to put the dirt on from digging with the BH.
You then can move the pallet and dump the dirt with the bucket forks.

ae_ted,

Can you tell me the dimensions of the box you made? Lookas like it is about 60" wide, 24" high, and around 30-36" deep?

I am stopping by TSC tomorrow for a "Carry-All"!
