I just had my house painted and the carpenter bees still love it. I give up...

Our whole house is Hardi (cement fiberboard) that is painted. Not a single hole, they can't touch it. Decks are PT wood, have problems there, spray or block when I see sawdust.

I use Great Stuff PRO (not the regular junk in the can with the clear hose) you need the applicator gun to use it and the stuff is orange. It doesn't really expand but will fill the holes perfectly. After it cures just trim and color.
It is really sticky and just glues them in place. I am sure the chemicals in it also kill the eggs. I have filled some holes that were over a foot long because the stuff came out of another hole that far down!!!
I have ceder siding and am really tempted to rip it all off and use something else; it is a never ending battle!
