I have a B3030 with a backhoe and a BX2660. Because of the effort of removing the backhoe and installing the three point hitch, I tend to use most of my three point implements on the BX. I would like to get a tiller that will work for both machines. The King Kutter XB will not clear the tires on the B3030, but the larger King Kutter 48" is offset so that would work. The other option is a Caroni 56". I can not find a lot of reviews for the Caroni. I saw JIMG reviewed this tiller, but I did not see any long term reviews. I am near an Agri Supply so I could easily pick up the Caroni and the price is low (which scares me a little).

Don't Let the price scare you they have been building tillers in Italy for forty plus years.

I would rather you asked Ken Sweet about a tiller as he carries several brands and is a sponsor of the forum in good standing.

After searching I concluded that tiller questions must be "poison". I ended up buying the 56" Caroni from Agri Supply. It looks good. I had to cut the PTO. I will post a review after I put it to use.

I am not familiar with the Caroni tillers, but our Caroni mowers have been bullet proof and they were used hard.

That's a big tiller for a BX, but as long as you're working nice fertile soil previously tilled, you should be ok. It will bog down the machine in anything hard packed, and you'll be only able to take 2-3" deep cuts.

I ran a 50" Landpride on my old subcompact, and it was too much in untouched, hardpacked ground, but was ok in garden soil.

I have the bx2660 with a kk 48" tiller and i do clay rocky ground and it dosn't bother the tractor! And i do it with out the runners for max depth. Did a neighbors pasture for future grapes. Other than throwing rocks around no problem. Plenty of hp at the pto!
