OK,

First go at tractors and carburetors. I disassembled the carb, and didn't keep track of how things came apart as well as I should. I got the carb cleaned up and a the rebuild kit has arrived.

Here are some questions.
Reattaching the float, there is was a small spring (see 2nd pic) that seemed to provide some 'bounce' to the float. Not sure how to reassemble it, I don't see it used in any other pics/videos I watch online. The kit came with the little clip that attached to the needle that connects the needle to the float. Does the first pic look right? Do i even need the spring in the 2nd pic? (I know the gasket and venturi needs to be installed)

The main tube that extends up from the bowl is removed with a deep socket in all the videos I have seen, but on mine it appears to be attached to the jet accessed from the bottom of the carb, it won't come out. I feel it is pretty clean and clear, but any ideas how to get it out. You can see the brass jet from the bottom of the carb in the 4th pic. It seems that it should come out and the extended tube should come with it?

In the third pic looking between the floats you can see another jet....it won't come out either.

Looking at the 4th and 6th pics you see the main load adjustment needle. There are two gaskets that seem to be a possibility. One feels to loose, the other won't slide down all the way and seat like it should? I ideas?

Update,

I got the gasket for the main load adjustment needle sorted out. I also got the spring sorted out. Can I use the spring and the needle retention clip as shown in these photos. Not sure I should have the clip and spring? IMG_3784.jpgIMG_3785.jpg

I have never seen a spring used on a float needle valve like that. I have seen a spring under the head of an adjustable needle valve and on a butterfly valve.
Do a google search for "marvel schebler carb diagrams". I did, but the link to the site is almost a page long or I would post it here.
