Car trailer

/ Car trailer #31
I would love a 10k trailer for the occasional times I need to move my Kubota. But how do you justify tying up that kind of money into something you are only going to use once a year? 7200 lb trailers pop up more often used so that might be an option. Another option might be to check around with some of the trailer sales places. I found one that will rent one if they have a used on in stock. I figure even if it costs me $200 for a day it's still much cheaper than owning one when you add in the fact that the tires don't last forever.

If you can keep a trailer inside, the tires will last for many years.
$200/year for 10 years = $2,000
If you paid $3,600 for a new 10K trailer (Tim's Rv in Erving, Ma. - no tax - you can register in Maine, even though you live in VT.)
After 10 years you will still get at least $2,000 for your used trailer, and you will have had a trailer at your instant disposal for the 10 years.

I use my 20ft.14K trailer once a year,..... sometimes not at all.
It is there (inside), when/if I need it.
I store an extra car on it.
