There really are people that stupid. I had a neighbor in Tn once that picked up a stray cat in the neighborhood and brought it in her house. She kept it in there for a week before one of her friends came over and left real fast screaming and hollering out the door. I think it was my next door neighbor who was a cop that stopped her in the middle of the road to ask what was wrong and the lady said she walked in her friends house and was greeted by a gigantic skunk!

Some people really are that stupid.

Where in the world did you live? All of my neighbors can tell the diff between wildlife and domesticated animals. This must have been a case of Green Acres gone wrong.

Those full grown 'possum's can get mighty mean, have seen many thats backed down dogs twice their size.....

Betcha Ellie Mae must have had constant battles trying to keep Granny from fetch'n up a mess of viddles outta her pet oppossum(s)

We were in a little town outside of Memphis back then, near the Navy base. Almost everyone at that time was transplants. I'm sure the woman that took in the skunk was too. Her husband was a Navy or Marine pilot I think.

It HAS to be a gag, pretty funny too! I can imagine the children playing with the "kitty". They're probably wondering why that stupid cat don't sleep at night either.
