with 60hrs now on my 3032E & not realy convinces the loader could take actual work, I am now convinced the tractor & loader are much tough. The loader suprises me.I think it is more in design of the loader than heavy steel which it does not have, but the strapping of loader from the front lower brush guard area is a definate +. reason I am posting is if any new owners are babing there 305 laoders etc,, no need..I have so took 30 stumps of similar size to pictured, 450' of large drainage ditch with loader bucket alone in wet & hard clay. used a 5' box scaper really hard in heavliy treed 5.8acre property. Also a single point ripper worked really hard. But crazy loader borderline abuse. it takes it fine. Also fullloades of 1 1/2" rock all day, & long rough terrain. Also put insome colvertswith the loader. no problem, front tires are off the ground more than on, but part of the stump game..all fun for me, like a trophy when I get a big one out....So if your worried about the load arms etc,,like I was, don't be, they can take it & then some. So far a great running machine that is getting worked hard. JD will probably revoke my warranty after this post *s*

That's quite a stump to take out with a FEL:eek: Even with your sub soiler and chain saw that had to take alot of time and effort......Nice tractor BTW

$10k mowers @ Wally..? *s*
Hopefully the JD is not down long, actually might hold off & milk it thru till winter, no machines on ground here during those times, way to mucky. machines would get swallowed alive. From a working aspect this little JD is very responsive & great for hopping on & off & just plain woods tractor.
That Cub is a commercial MTD product of the extreme. Hit a 6' steel fence post & cut it in half with 37hp Kawasaki v-twin & comes in at about 1600lbs w/ 6' deck. a total blast to mow with & cut my time down to silly small comparatively. I definately feel the problem is with it bieng in 2wd. so I think I will milk it in 4wd till winter if it stays the same & finish my summer projects which are many.I got good deal on the Cub for 7k out the door with 30hrs on it. finding one for less than 10k was difficult.
Thanks Joe

Carpenter by trade..? I also do that for a living. As for that stump, yes it took a while, had to slow dig it at 4-6 sides then pick axe to get around very big tap root & then chain saw. I just try not to get crazy & never bash or anything like that. & don't even hank anything with a chain, I just work around the stump, root for root & then victory..*s*, I sure hope I didn't hurt the little guy, I would say more a defective part or something, hard saying, I am thinking now it does it only when in 2wd, so 4wd it is till I get time for service or if it starts doing it in 4wd. I have a burn pile full of trophy stumps & will smile when I burn em up..I have alot of box scraping to do this summer & hopefully I can squeeze it in.Crossing my fingers & trying NOT to get bummed. The dealer I bought it from turned out to have issues with actually getting small parts in when they say they will, they basically lie to you & order when they feel like it, I have sence switched Cadet dealer for a great one that gets my parts in 48hrs or less if avalible. I am also switching my JD dealer to a much more pro ran company.equal distance away so that is good.
Nice forum you all have here.

I have a loud intermentant pop when useing 2WD with light load. I usually use 4wd & it doesn't seem to do it in 4wd, but in 2wd it is a very bad sound coming from tranmission -axle area..Joe

Have you checked your wheel bolts since you started using this tractor? Sometimes loose wheels will make intermittent popping that sounds like it is coming from the transmission.

I would also advise getting more ballast on the rear of the tractor to help protect your front axle.

Either way, MTD owns Cub Cadet and is also Walmart's main supplier of garden tractors. Calling an MTD a commercial product is like calling the older Toyota Tundras a "full size" pickup. No matter how much you dress a pig up, it's still a pig.

Hope your tractor problems subside though.

Called dealer today & tractor is fixed, I get it back monday. Problem was a adjustment for the diff-lock was not correct from factory & now all is well from what they told me. I figured I would be down at least 2 months, but only 5 days, that is a very nice surprise for me. Also CubCadet "Tanks" are "Lesco" . Lesco makes em, Cub sells em.. Similar to all the Yanmar JD's.
