A big reason for buying a tractor was so I no longer need to lift stuff.
The tractor would need to be at the propane refill station - good for offload but not loading, We have a 2 wheel dolly with a set of 5" casters on the top/back to lay things horizontal for moving or loading heavy stuff.

Got a 100 gallon propane tank recertified and refilled today. Putting it in the back of my truck nearly killed me. 😣 Might have to sell it.
Should use that single axle trailer to haul that tank, not put it in the truck. I have 2 of those tanks and use a single axle trailer to take them in for fill up. Easy to roll on when empty, leave tank vertical and tie down with 4 ratchet straps. Fill station usually puts it back on the trailer using a 2 wheel dolly, I just have to tie it down. Hardest part is getting the full tank to roll down the back gate without losing it then roll back into place. Trailer is much easier than trying to load into pickup. I lift it off my trailer with my tractor loader and a chain.

I think we might be talking about a 100 lb propane tank, not 100 gal. 100 gal would be over 400 lbs. The tank in the back on the UTV here looks to me like a 100 lb tank, which is around 20 gal. Still heavy, mind you.

I believe I did originally state 60lbs. I put it in the back of my truck when filled. I don't want to do that again.

Did you put a hoist on one of your trailers awhile back?

Can you pull your utility trailer with your 6x6? Id rig something to lift the upright full tank out of trailer if you still have that hoist and that trailer could be pulled with your 6x6. Or as others said get a tractor rig some way to lift that tank with the loader.to load and unload at your place.

NOAA moderated the rain over the weekend so we are heading to camp Saturday am. šŸ‘ I'll get some photos of the 100lb tank and see if I can sell it locally. Need to pack essentials to bring along.

Don't like these propane lights here. They Somke, and don't put out much light. We'll need to look at a larger solar panel instillation.
