Kubota BX 2660
I have wanted to put a soft cab on my 2660 for the last 4 winters as I am tired of becoming a snow man when the wind shifts!!! I hve looked at ones online and they look ok but does anyone on here have one good or bad? One question I have is the plastic windshield or polycarbonate? Which one will hold up better?
Thanks for any help...Kevin

We have a Curtis on our BX2660 and its pretty nice. My only complaint is that the velcro that holds the back on came loose and now I can't get anything to stick there.
If you are looking for something cheaper, look at a Original Tractor Cab.
They are cheaper ($700-1000 vs $3000-4000 for a Curtis) but still have a swinging door.

If at all possible, I'd go with glass. On my home made cab everything except where Lexan was used to cope around the hood the glazing is tinted safety glass. I have used different plastics for different things over the years and they always ended up scratched despite efforts to avoid messing them up.

I used an open station tractor from 1989 till completing the cab around the beginning of 2013. Being out of the elements with a heater running makes snow removal much more fun. At a cost of around $1,200 and lots of sweat equity it has proven to be a great investment!

I have an original cab hard top on my BX. I purchased it with the plastic windshield and bought the glass front ($165) after 2 years so I can use a wiper. I leave it assembled except the glass, and lift it off each spring, hang it from a bicycle lift until next winter. It has held well, have to use foam tap to seal up a couple of air leaks but I have been very happy with it for the price (<$700) and would but it again. My only use is for winter snow removal. I use a microwaveable stadium seat cushion for heat. Even up here in Maine, it does just fine keeping my buns warm while I snow blow.

edit: The original windshield held up fine and still looks good, just wanted glass.
