Anyone have any recommendations for repairing the gouges my CAB's top? I foolishly let my garage door rub the top for a while and now that I have fixed the issue, I wanna repair the gouges and scratches in the top.

a new one is ~$500 bucks, so before I go that route, I wanna explore fixing it.

Depending on how deep the gouges are, you should be able to fill them in with body putty or spot filler. Then sand it smooth and repaint it.

^^^x2 on that. If you can't do it see what your local autobody repair shop would charge for it.

My mother when driving has scuffed up and bruised her front bumper a few times. I found the bumper repair stuff to work well bonding to these plastic(?) materials. A little different formulation than the spot repair stuff but works about the same. That is what I would use on your top if it is plastic.

What is the top actually made from?

If the top is fibre glass, go to a marine store and get their repair material. Made especially for glass repair.

I have used the fiberglass sheets to repair a broke top, but for gouges maybe all you'd need is the glue without the sheet? How deep are the gouges, are there cracks? the fiberglass repair kits are fairly simple to use and are very strong.

It is a plastic compound not fiberglass, same as the fenders.

You can just weld the plastic with a soldering iron. Just grab some scrap of the same stuff from someplace inconspicious and weld away.

If it is a few small places, I'd suggest Brownell's Acraglas. You may can mix a little green paint with it or do the mixing on a John Deere catalog as it will take on some of the color of whatever it is mixed on. It is super tough stuff.
