Oops - not a job for Acraglas! Nuru, I think the bumper repair advice may be the way to go. Maybe some JD green Line-X or Rhino-liner truck bedliner may be a solution with more protection qualities in case you decide to do it again.

OK, I finally started; here are my first pics - Day 1 Sand and Primer

Any comments, questions, suggestions?

I was wondering if I should just rough up the entire top, primer it, and paint the entire top?

I'd paint the whole top so it's even and matches....

But it's the top of a tractor. Does it really matter?

I have been thinking about that and sofar, painting the entire top seems lie a good idea. So I probably will go for it.

Day 2 (Today), 1 week since I did the primer coat. Well since it is a top and I had some other tasks to get done. I went ahead and took a chance on spraying (aerosol can) a single coat of official JD Green over the single coat of the primer. Since it is a top and I can do it again pretty fast. I went for it. Here are the results - see pics attached. This is without painting the entire top, it looks like I got luck on the matching as it does look pretty good. I will take a look tomorrow and then decide on what steps are next

I was wondering, should I use a Top coat of clear?, Or another coat of the JD Green first and a coat of clear? - seems like the initial coat is working, but maybe another coat of JD Green is warranted?

Looks pretty good to me. Bet you are glad you didn't put a lot of $$'s into a new roof. Good job.

Yeah, I think it looks ok, the $500 bucks would have also have taken a longer time to get it done, and risking damaging the seals too.
