I'm thinking about getting a cab for my 4310 tractor.
I would like a hard cab with a heater, if anyone makes one.
Any suggestions?

Who makes one that will fit?
Or would I be better off trading my tractor in for one that already has a cab with heat?

If you trade you will get heat for the winter , and AC in the summer. Factory cabs are VERY quiet, aftermarket cabs are VERY noisy. Factory cabs are pressurized to keep out dirt-Aftermarket ones are not.

Cost for a aftermarket cab is $3000 and up...

Here are some makers of them so you can Google them:

Curtis
Jodale Perry
Laurin
And a few more I can't think of now.

I was considering the same thing but I finally went on and traded in my 4310. The aftermarket cabs did not compare favorably to a factory cab. And the Jodale Perry cabs, which are pretty good, were costly. So went in for the long haul! I am very happy with my 3520's cab.

I looked at the same question for my 4310. I decided if I really needed(wanted) a cab I would trade the tractor. The Curtis cab sold by Deere was $3000. It also would not add much if any value to the tractor when traded in. I normally use the tractor for less than 10 hrs in the winter. I just could not justify the amount of money for cab or trade for that small amount of "suffering" in the winter. As I get older I am sure that will change. I think $3000 will buy a lot of Carhart gear.

You might be able to get a heat houser for less, I have checked eBay and found a few sellers with them in their stores. The 4310 blows the engine heat rearward so this might work for your situation.

I have a Curtis soft side cab on my 4210, and love it. I got it a few years ago, and the prices have obviously gone up since then. I wired in a small 12V ceramic heater, and it does a nice job in keeping the cab nice and toasty.

The soft side works very nicely for me. When temps warm up, I simply pull the doors and the rear panel off, and I have a nice canopy for summer mowing.

I dont know how much the Curtis cab would increase the trade in value, but I know if I ever sell it my self, I am sure I would have no problem getting my money back --- and then some.
