Not sure why Bobcat has an alarm for turning the key but this new machine is loud. I have unsuccessfully tried to find the alarm under the dash to muffle with tape or if possible disconnect. Appreciate suggestions.

The same alarm is used if/or when a critical code/problem arises so it is loud enough to here when engine is running, if you do locate and muffle the alarm you might not be able to hear it should engine or hydraulics start to overheat or loose pressure.

You should be getting a very quick (2 or 3 beeps, don't remember exact number) when key is turned. This just verifies all electronic communications have been made. If you are getting a constant alarm there is some type of problem and you need to push the "HOLD for Codes" button to read the code and see what is going on.

The alarm is located on fuse bracket near accelerator.I wrapped it in seat repair material and it is a 100% better. Alarm is number 2 on diagram below

Thanks, I will muffle ours a little. Still need to hear the low fuel alarm, it saved me from running out today while mowing.
