I'm coming back around full circle...!! :confused2:
Shopping around the country via the Internet - I find better deals on the 5065M and the 5075M with cabs than I can get on either a cab 4520 or a 4720! Heavier tractors, better hydraulic capability, stronger loaders and according to the Nebraska Tests - the 5065M burns less fuel per hour than the 4520!!
Check it out -- TTL test reports/JD Deere
Should get a couple of quotes this week from my local JD dealer on a cab 4520 and a 5065M.
The CFO says - "Get the big one!!"
I'm really uncertain... the 4000 series would be a better fit "physically" for our farm - cleaning corrals and snow plowing. But, the 5000 series comes with a "buddy" seat and would be alot more tractor for a small, round baler and a bigger disc mower. 'Course, it'd also make taking on more hay ground a whole lot easier, too!
If the money is the same... or within a few hundred??
The 5000 series bunch doesn't have as much to say on TBN. So, it's harder to get a fix on the pros and cons of a bigger tractor compared to all the feedback that's available from the 4000 owner's.
What kinda "warts" should a prospective buyer be aware of on a 5000 series tractor?
Local dealer has a couple of 5075E's on the lot. (After my wife looked at one on the JD lot - she didn't think they were that much bigger than our JD110 TLB!)
Apologies for the long post.
