I've just had to repair the second track drive. Now these dam things have the motor integrated into the planetary hub so the complete unit has to be removed for repair. What lets go is the spline on the end of the rotating group sending debris through the hydraulic system. Don't you just love well though out manufacturing, kinda like buying a car designed and made by someone who can't drive and rides a push bike.

How many hours are you up to on it?

I had a 140 . It had low hours . Bolts in the final drive came out and wound up all the lines . Had never ending hydraulic problems . My advice : Repair , make it look good , get rid of it as fast as possible . I have a Valtra and a Fendt with mulchers now . They are trouble free and oh so comfortable .

tony, sorry you are having problems. if you can justify it with busy, look at the new CAT mulcher platform. It's specs look good and I know it was tested for awhile and has been updated quite a bit from the old style. I imagine a big CAT will have good support worldwide.

You are supposed to re torque and check on those bolts. It's in the operators manual.

The bolts never fell out ,they broke . The operator was working in wet snow . at the tracks were slacked off all they could . Snow and chips built up and the bolts let go . Don’t worry about service the machine was regularly checked .

Bill, which side did the bolts break? I noticed on mine the hole that the spicket that the right track drive hub sits in is much larger than the left. Not even the Chinese would build a machine that badly, but that's Rayco quality for you and they have the hide to put labels on it "Built in the USA with Pride". What total BS. The US trade department should stomp on this half baked idiot outfit with a gutless President who won't accept that their build quality is crap and refuses to make good on anything. They can't even man up when they come out to Australia ring and say G'day Tony, how's it going considering it one of the first C140's sold here and the oldest still half pie working.
I'm to old to go buying any new machines and this heap of **** owes me away to much to dump and run, should have done that years ago when the market was better.I was offered a trip to the "factory" when I ordered this machine but was away to busy to go. That folks was the first mistake. 20x20 hind sight.:(

It was the right track . We had a hard time to get lines and never did get some adaptors . Had to retap the case drain line , i believe . I was happy to see it go . I have had way better luck with the tractors with PTO mulchers and forestry tillers . I do have a 470 hydro axe and really like it though . I just bought a GT25 . It is different to run but has the same basic drive as the axe . Plasance it trying to get me to import and sell for them . They have some nice grinders.
