Hey all, Have a 2007 Kioti LB1914 with a KL1210 loader. Have had it for about 5 years, and the bucket has been able to pickup less and less weight. Its probably at the point now it can only pick up 3 to 400 lbs. The other day, I had a stack of 10 EMPTY wood pallets on the front forks... now i know forks puts weight farther out front due to leverage... but the bucket would Not tilt back toward the tractor at all. You could hear the bypass valve opening, the sort of weird whining sound it makes as the fluid passes by. So just to get these pallets moved, my Dad had to operate the controls, and I lifted up on about 7 of the pallets which to me felt like I was lifting about 25lbs. Then the tractor bucket would tilt back. This is not the first time I have had to "help" the front loader to lift and especially tilt something. I mean this is ridiculous.
Now, I don't think there is any issues with the hydrolics on the tractor itself. PTO and etc works fine and has proper power. But the bucket is really weak. Also have noticed that even when trying to lower the bucket slowly, it VERY easily SUDDENLY "drops" the load down. I have to barely put pressure on the control ever so slightly and very slowly adding pressure until it starts to lower in order to not suddenly drop a load down a foot or even to the ground. Don't know if this is connected, and yeah I can see it dropping if I moved the stick a good amount. But its just way too sensitive.
In anycase, from what I have read it seems that this is likely to be an issue with the fluid bypass valve needing adjusted, especially it being 14 years old. And I would expect this to be the case, as I heard the bypass valve opening all the time. So the questions becomes, does the valve need adjusted? Or is there something else wrong in the controls? Bad seals? Needs rebuilt?
If it just needs adjusted, then I am assuming I have to loosen the bolt and turn in the set screw? Also I think I would need a pressure gauge, is there a "universal" tractor pressure gauge set? I've never used one before. Also where would it connect? There appears to be two ports on the backside of the control box that are unused? Would this be the connection points?
Thanks
