Kubota BX24
Last winter I purchased a BX2750 blower that was in rough shape. Brackets bent bearings worn and paint chipping off. I used the blower last winter and now it's time for a complete rebuild. So I started the project this week so I can get my blower ready for winter. I stripped down my Kubota BX2750 snowblower to just a shell. I then stripped any loose paint sanded and then primed the blower. I then coated it with 5 coats of paint. Now I am replacing all bearings and bolts. Will keep everyone posted with progress

Excellent job. That blower will give you many more years of service. Do you have the make and part numbers for the actuator and motor for the chute? I would love to add those to mine.

Where is the best place to mount the switches for the chute rotation and up and down control?

Cub,

Do you have a cab? If not you may want to consider getting and or making one. Snow blowing without a cab is NOT fun! My 1st cab was a golf cart cover over a copper pipe skeleton I made up. My switches are mounted in a box in the cab. My lights, window fan, yellow roof hazard light, and heater fan are all in the same box. Here is a post I did on my cab mounting process.http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/91339-getting-bx-ready-winter.html

Here is the golf cart cab thread http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-owning-operating/19837-bx-2200-cheap-cab.html

That's where I put my chute deflector switch. You could also put the rotation switch in there.

All controls for blower in one place

What did you make it of? And where did you find the switch? All I could find is regular dpdt toggle switches.

Used 1/8 plate steel
(Approx dimensions 2"x1"x1")

A 1/4" tubing? By about 1" welded to 1/8 box

A power window switch from any car (wreckers)
These switches will take greater amperage without relays
