None yet but itchin' to get one!
Mornin'!
Was wondering if anybody had any opinions on the difference between these two machines (besides the stated HP and speed). They are pretty much the same in price...we have about 4 acres, 1 in lawn to mow (nothing fancy, just rough grass seed), and the other 2.5 for a sloped grove and dirt driveway to maintain. Thanks in advance!

Not sure what a "sloped grove" is. Pretty sure we don't have them around here. The B series is bigger/heavier than the bx isn't it. That would get more work done. Also, regarding your other post, the r4s will be fine on your grass.

I would go with the B. We have both a BX2660 and a B7500 each with a 60" mower deck. The B has a better ride and mows faster. The B also doesn't have the vulnerable transmission cooling fan.

Even though the BX is rated for more HP,the B2320 has the larger engine.Just something to consider.

Look up posts by JOHNTHOMAS and bp fick, they have owned both types.

The B has more ground clearance which is nice for maintenance or when you need it, also has bigger tires which I think look better.

If the tractor's primary work will be lawn care or field mowing on steep slopes, I'd go with the BX.
By steep slope, I mean anything that is hard to push a wheel barrow full of soil up.
For working a food/vegetable plots, or working in deep snow, I'd go with the B.
The B sacrifices some stability for more ground clearance, so you need to decide which is more important for your particular needs.

I believe that both tractors have the same engine, just set up differently to give more torque at less rpm on the B. We have the BX 2670 and looked at the B2320 as well but it came down to price and the pto operation. I did not want to have to keep putting in the clutch to dis engage the PTO on the B. The price on both was about a $400 difference but my dealer made a great deal for us on the BX. Both are good machines and as stated, the BX has a cooling fan, the B does not. This is a consideration if you intend to drive over/around piles of sticks or go in the woods alot. Sticks can take the blades right off the fan allowing the HST to overheat and possibly fail. Enjoy the shopping and make sure you test drive both machines, as well as the other orange, green and red. There are others as well that I may have missed.

They're just different. Same engine, 1005 cu . Have owned 2 BX's and that same B2320.

The B2320 is taller with more ground clearance than the "paper stats" would indicate. The 3 speed trans isn't a huge advantage to me as how often did I run down the road in high gear? Not very often. The hydraulics on the B is noticeably faster. The bucket is also larger. Getting up into the driver's position is a harder step up for older guys with short legs. The 3 pt hardware is better on the B, but can be made better on both the B or the BX with aftermarket improvements. The transmission whine on the BX is more noticeable.

The BX is more nimble and has a lower center of gravity which is a plus to some users. The difference between the two machines is subtle but more than what meets the eye. You've got to put 100 hours on each of them to "feel" the difference in where each machine targeted. One isn't "better" than another, they are simply different.

Most of the work items and performance means there is an overlap of functionality between the two. If you're doing heavier field work or work in the woods, have more and heavier material handling to do, the B2320 would be a good choice. If you want a nifty, nimble, general all around solid performing yard/garden/snow tractor, the BX is a joy to operate.
