Bx2660 engine oil capacity 3.7 qts.?

Just did my 50 hr. engine oil and filter change, the manual says it will take 3.7 qts. of oil with a filter change, thats what I put in the engine, but on the oil dipstick it shows that its low, its just a bit past the half-way mark, so I could maybe add about 4 to 8 ounces to put at the top mark, I ran the tractor for a few minutes and let it cool down, still shows as I described above, dipstick is fully seated when I remove it and check it, anybody ever encounter this??

My 23 has the same issue. It appears that the manual is wrong. I always buy one extra quart....just top it off and forget about it.

My BX2660 is the same and on all my tractors I just add until I get the level right.

Thats what I'll do is just top it off, but wouldn't you think that the manual would get it right and list the proper capacity?

I don't think the manual is correct with any of the fluids on my BX25. ie... front axle, transmission.

Yep, you would think so.

Same here. BX2660 took more than the OM said at 50hr maintenance.
