Guys - my 2010 BX2660 sprung a leak last year about 2 months from new. It was the hardline just above the rear PTO shroud. Dealer replaced no problem. That was July 2011. The same hardline has just developed a leak at the same fitting. Not a drip, a full power washer type stream.

Tractor is still under warranty, but there must be a design flaw here no? This tractor has maybe 50-60 hrs, mostly cutting the lawn. The leaks have sprung when using the bucket on heavy stuff - stone and dirt.

We have 500 pretty hard hours on our 2660 with no problems.

280 hours on my 2009 BX2660 with no problems. Good luck with yours. Maybe the tubing/fitting is just a defective one. Done a lot of heavy rock, gravel and log lifting with mine as well as routine mowing. Maybe somebody knowledgeable about hydraulics could comment on this.

Hi.

If you try searching the forum you'll find my posts on the same issue. I had mine replaced two or three times. On the last time, the dealer put on a hydraulic hose, not the steel line. No problems since.

Very frustrating, but fixed now.

I'm not sure if it's a manufacturing problem with the line or fittings...

my b7800 had a leak right close to where yours did. maybe even similar line. mine was from ramming too hard when pulling a large pine tree up hill.:confused2: it was my fault. dealer fixed for me under warrenty. no leaks back yet. that was at 75 hours. tractor now has 920 hours. good luck with your issue. hope it gets fixed perminently next time and you are back up and running soon.

I would suspect the failure(s) are being caused by a slight misalignment between the hard line and the fittings. That is why some will run for hundreds of hours and others only a few hours. Over time the vibration and pressure cycles cause this joint to fail. Like others have said a properly sized hose will eliminate this problem.
