I need opinions on rops lighting for my BX25. The brightest is what I'm going for.

This is what I installed on my tractor. It is Grote led light and they are bright but also fairly expensive. The way I mounted them they turn forward or backwards.

Now that's what I'm looking for. How many watts are each light? Where did you purchase your them? Did you fab the mounting brackets?

Here is a link for the lights. Trilliant Cube 2500
I purchased these from a local parts store I deal with thru work. I made the mounting brackets and also on the brackets I drilled a 1/2" all metal locknut and welded it inside the bracket and ran the wire thru the hole so I could rotate the light with out having the wires get in the way.

Are these the wide flood or flood model?

Unless you have overhead clearance concerns, I'd seriously consider mounting them on top of the ROPS. Up there, they are out of your eyes and you aren't making shadows with your body. I used 2 of the basic 55W trapezoidal for out front and 2 floods in the rear. The are all mounted to a bar with magnetic feet so the whole bar can be removed if need be.

Mounting the lights higher does give quite the advantage in terms of keeping them out of your face. The only problem with "high and outside" mounting is that they can occasionally get snagged by a errant tree branch. If you're not around many trees, go for it! Something else that helps is keeping the light in front of you. I've got the HID kit from Tractorhelp.com in mine and I can light up most of the neighborhood. Nice thing about those is that they keep the light in front of you to reduce glare for you. Also with them being in the factory location and farily tucked away....they aren't as likely to remove bark or be removed by a future piece of furniture. LOL

For mine, I went with flood over a spot light as I wanted more "area" light than I did far away light. I'm not going that fast on the tractor, so I would rather see a wider area than farther away. If I'm going fast enough to need to see down the road that far.......I must have turbo'd, put propane and methanol injection on my tractor. LOL

I understand your point, my question is that these lights only come in flood or wide flood. I was inquiring about which version was in the pics. I guess the flood could be considered their spotlight.

I picked 2 pair of Rigid Industries "Dually D2's". They are super...,.super bright LED lights. Very small and compact and built like a tank. All aluminum housing.

Yes... they are expensive. Here is a link to a pair on Amazon fro $300/pair. But well worth it in my opinion.

Rigid Industries 50231 Dually D2 LED Driving Light White Pair D2DW2 : Amazon.com : Automotive

Do a google search and you will find hundreds of great reviews. They are also several youtube videos of them in action.

Since they are LED's, they draw very little wattage for the light they put out.

I got the "Driving" lights as they are a hybrid between a sport and flood light pattern.

I can't wait to use them this Winter for some Snow removal.
