Could larger tires and wheels be put on the front of a BX24 to help the horrible ride? How about a larger backhoe bucket?

Turfs ride very smooth - R4's rougher - Ags the roughest... obviously on smooth ground.
A little more context in the question might yield better answers.

I have the R 4's but I'm sure it's not the tire tread causing the rough ride. The tractor bounces and has a very hard ride in the front. Seems fine in the rear. The front wheels/tires are so small.

Feel free to let some air out of the tires. Don't go below 15 psi.

If you will NEVER use 4WD, put any tires you want on the front. Be prepared to turn less tightly.

Other mitigating measures:
Drive slower.
Smooth your property out.

Why would larger front tires prevent 4 wheel drive use?

Well ... I guess it wouldn't PREVENT it but it would sure, at a minium, defeat the usefulness of the frontWD by eliminating the designed "lead". Worst case, I believe, it would make keeping it pointed in the desired direction a real pain and could contribute to trying to tear the front end or the driveshaft joints apart due to the rear end constantly over running the front end (or underrunning it ... guess I'd have to think about which ... no interest though).

I only notice a bounce over rough terrain or if I have weight in the loader and hit a few bumps. I don't think the ride is bad at all, it's much less noticeable with the attachments off in 'mowing' mode. I think the weight of the front and rear attachments just adds to the momentum.

I'd add to MOPAULY by saying "I only notice a bounce over rough terrain or if I have weight in the loader and hit a few bumps." - when moving too fast.
The loader and the BH on mine do make it buck a tad with a load over rough terrain... cheaper solution than new front tires... drive slower. ;)

Thanks for the replies. Wish the BX24 rode like my M9000. Even my L130 JD rides better than the small Kubota.

If the "horrible ride" you experience is while mowing then try taking off the FEL and BH. My cow-elk-mole divited pasture is awful to mow with FEL & BH attached, but easier without them, and I go sloooowww. But I find the ride is quite fine on level ground.
