BX24 taking back hoe off is getting old

IMHO, having a dolly is the way to go. I made a couple out of pressure treated wood: one for the BH and one for the 3PH chipper. When the BH is on the tractor, I put the 3PH snow blower on the dolly and wheel it out of the way.

Like others, I lift the stabilizer arms all the way up and use a bungy cord to keep them from settling down.

This past winter it sat for 5-6 months with no problems.

Mine droops over time ... I usually simply put a cinder block under the base and that does the trick

yeah dolly does sounds like its the way to go but I haven't seen a dolly that can go off-road yet. I have a blacktop driveway I can unload the BH onto the dolly if needed, but needs to be transported somehow over a lawn/bumpy trail to resting spot. I assume the dolly would need to have lawn type of tires with a tow hitch to make it compatible for my needs.

I asked eons ago about the back hoe drooping while on tractor while it sat and everyone said it's normal. It's doing the same while off the tractor which I sort of expected. Except stabilizers went up instead of down and bucket is curling instead of uncurling.

The stabilizers are going up?

I can understand the curling of the bucket, if it's resting on it, but the stabilizers going up is bizarre!

The stabilizers are going up because they are supporting the weight of the backhoe when it isn't on the tractor.

You got it, it's flat as a pancake on the floor. I just hope the hoses still reach to get it back up.

radioman - No idea if this will help or not for your situation but I use the BXpanded BH dolly on a large piece of thick plywood on the grass where it currently is sitting. I then tarp it with a motorcycle cover. Now that I have a new garage, I will be putting the BH on the dolly inside after I get a proper ramp to drive up on.
