BX24 hood replacement options

A couple years ago I cracked the hood while pushing some down trees. Quite a bummer, but I picked up the pieces and glued them back together. Didn't look great but better than a big hole. Fast forward a couple years and a few more limbs whacking the hood and my glue job has come apart and it looks pretty bad.

So my question is:: Would the metal hood of a BX25 fit a 24? Are there any other options available? I have considered using some fiberglass resin and cloth which worked out pretty good on a plastic golf cart body I worked on over the winter. Any feedback or options are appreciated, especially on the BX25 metal hood fitting the BX24.

And, if anyone knows of a BX24 being parted out, I loved to know

I've seen this question come up a few times, but never have seen it answered. In one recent thread where a member was replacing his BX24 hood he mentioned that the cost of the metal one was over a hundred bucks more than the plastic.
