Interesting. I will call my dealer tomorrow and see what they have to say. My fenders are not cracked but it would be nice to have the additional supports.

Is this fix available from the dealer for free? Will they install this for free? I have BX24 with the old fenders, but they are not cracked.

Thanks for all your help.

I just got my BX24, and the dealer had no idea of the fender issue. He actually argued with me that I was confusing the BX24 with a different model. After emailing him pictures from this fine forum, he called Kubota and they had the brace kit within two days. From the way he made it sound Kubota wasn't going to issuing a recall. At minimum your dealer should get you the kit for no cost. Its only a few bolts, so installation isn't really an issue.

where does the fender crack

My broke the other day on my BX2350. According to my dealer, it is generally on the left side. They have ordered the parts and it is covered under warranty. If you don't mount /dismount on the left side it may not happen to you. I almost always use the right side but the other day I went to step up on the left and...crack!!

Do a search as this has been discussed to great lengths.

I have no more info at this time, when my dealer has the fix he will let me know.

The issue is that in reverse, the tractor will stop very abruptly when you let go of the pedal. Actually, it was designed that way due to some lawsuit, and it is also being seen in other brand tractors as well. From what I gather, there is enough customer clatter about it that kubota may be designing some way of softening up that stop somehow. I hope so, it is an awful quick stop, it'll snap your head back if you're not prepared for it. It is mainly in high gear and only in reverse that you get this, going forward is fine. I must say that I've learned to feather the reverse enough to help, but it still catches me off guard sometimes.

I haven't noticed that on my 7800, it does stop faster in reverse than forward but not to the extent that it snaps my neck. Funny they would do that for one tractor and not the other models? Extra weight maybe? Stupid lawsuits.... I'm surprised they still let you start the thing without the seatbelt fastened!!!

From what I gathered it's mainly in the new tractors designed for "homeowner use" whatever that means...
