Kubota BX24
My BX24 will be losing her home tomorrow. I've stored her under my deck which is coming own while I finish siding the house and plan on a new, bigger(wife's idea) deck. I know they sell these little tractor covers, but has anyone seen or made a custom cover for a small TLB?

Sorry, no ideas but I do know that blue tarps do not protect against UV rays and things underneath them will fade.

For real? Kubota doesn't make anything? I thought I saw a picture that had a cover on it. Just looked at it wasn't there. I'll call the dealership later.

I use a big plastic tarp I got from HD....it covers everything but the ROPS FEL Bucket and BH....

Its been raining for two days and my poor BX24 is sitting out in the yard where I left it....:( such a bad daddy lol

I used a blue poly tarp, I think it was 10x20, maybe 10x24. Covers well, but doesn't last. I saw a small 10x14 arrow steel storage shed Item #: 92737 at Lowes for under $500. Door opening is 4'7". I was thinking of backing in then swing the backhoe to one side and the BX24 should fit. Can't do it with the 60" deck. Should last longer than those polytarp sheds.

How about one of those portable garages? They start at around 200 bucks or so. More convenient than any tarp or cover.

I have a few covers and tarps on my boats, and they're a PITA to use. You have to heap them on the grass, which causes all manner of bugs and slugs to crawl up into them, they catch rainwater if you leave them out, and both sides end up getting dirty...

Still better than nothing, but...

Yeah, I saw the picture of the BX cover on the accessories pages awhile ago, but they only made covers for the BX2350's and such, the machines without the backhoe...

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I figured I'd try again before the weather turns.

BX24 cover?

I'm in the same situation as you, I'm also looking for a cover for the BX24 (no large shed or garage yet). I do have a small overhang that is about 10' long but it will not cover the entire tractor with the BH installed. Not sure if this will help you or not but what I do is remove my BH (using my new BXpanded back hoe dolly) and cover it with a motorcycle cover that I bought at Wally World. The cover was only $20 and it fits really well. If I leave the back hoe on the tractor, I park the tractor with the back hoe end sticking out and place the motorcycle cover around the hoe. I then bungy cord the cover to the tractor.

I would go to a shop that makes boat covers and get one custom made. Will be pricey, but worth it. After fighting with a tarp on my log splitter I had a custom cover made and I really like it. It fits like a glove and I don't even have to tie it down in the wind.

Take Care

With winter coming, I was kicking around the cover idea again. What do you guys think about this.
A pick up truck cover that's 210Hx77Wx58T. I was thinking of sliding the loader and hood where the truck bed would be, then where the truck cab would be, fold the rops down and the BH. Basically installing backwards. It would be very wide, I would sew the width down. Height may be Ok. Only about 5 ft high. Height with Rops down is probably 5 1/2 feet. It would cover most of it. I'll give it a try Thankgiving weekend.

I just bought this 12 x 20 foot "garage in a box" from TSC. My first job with the new tractor was to clear a level spot on a slight slope to set it up. Winter is coming on fast here, and I've got to do something.

Cost was $350. With the BX25 parked in the middle it should give me about 3 foot clearance all around. Not a whole lot, really, but it's got a door kit to close up the front, and I hope I can put some lights and heat in there and service it this winter until I can put up a proper garage next year.

Sorry,
You can pick one up next week and then return it at a later date using the higher paid receipt. Now, that's only if it goes on sale. I'll keep an eye on it and let you know.
I didn't get it last year because of locating it. I've cleared the bak and have a very good spot for it now.

Door opening is 4'7".
I looked at this same $499 building at the lowes store here.
Was looking to store my diesel fuel in it .
The thing that turned me off about it is the low doorway clearance .
Door is only 60'' high a real head knocker for anybody that is over 5 feet tall.
Cracked my head a good one when i went to step out of it .

LBrown59,
I didn't realize the door opening was so short. I knew it was too narrow for my 60" MMM. I'm hoping to put up a 2-3 car garage in a year or so. I'm looking for short term storage. I'll let you guys know how the truck cover works out.

We were heading down a country road on a hilltop this past weekend, and one of these exact setups was in the road upside down. The other half of the destroyed frame was still in the front yard near the house. It was very windy though.

I had one of these garage in box. it was big enought for BX24 with 60 deck. however i hated it for 2 reasons. one- where i live we get really high winds and it pulled the ground augers out of the wet ground several times!!! sigh.
two - had minor ince storm then a snow fall. everything was iced over, including the zippers on the portable garage in box door kit. I couldnt upzip the door to get my bx out. Its not a secure place, but i couldnt envision ripping the door off just to get the tractor out to clear my driveway. so i ended up useing a propane tourch on the zippers to melt the ice off the zippers.:mad::mad: The final straw was we had a microburst and the shed blew over to my neighbors property in middle of night. My wife and I had to retrieve it in middle of night and dismantle it. most of the connector tubes were twisted so it was the end of the portable garage.:mad: I ended up up building a garage extention. wish i did that in the first place.

The blowing away has been my fear. That's why I didn't get it last year. I'll see how my truck cover works.
