BX2350 stalls

BX2350 with 80 hrs dies at unexpected times. It seems to happen more when in low and mowing. It seems almost like a kill switch. The motor just turns off. It will immediately restart. Sometimes it will go for 30-45 mins before it happens again. Sometimes almost immediately. At one point, when I was trying to engage the PTO, it was like turning the key off. I would push the lever halfway down, and the engine would turn off. If I moved the PTO lever back to the off position quick enough, the engine would continue running.

Anyone else with these symptoms or any ideas what to look for?

The seat safety switch is a common cause of engine stalls. Leaning forward e.g. to watch FEL activity causes the seat to raise, triggering the kill switch.

Another owner had a problem with the PTO safety switch not returning fully causing engine to falter. Lubing solved that problem.

I constantly feel like I'm leaning forward in my seat.

Is there kill switch for when the pto is engaged?

Do you have the newest seat upgrade? Cause that was the feeling I had with the old seat. New seat you actually sit level and is way more comfortable!

The right hand seat spring sits on a gold colored "Z" shaped piece of metal that is the spring for the seat switch. My BX2350 had 2 of these sandwiched together, but the parts manual only lists 1. I removed one and now it doesn't shut down near as bad going down hills. This could be a safety issue, so use your own judgment as to whether to remove 1 or not.
