I was digging with the backhoe when my wife pointed out some spots in the soil underneath the BX23. I found the source of the leak. I looked in the owners manual and searched TBN for an answer, but was unsuccessful. I have attached a photo. Is this source a type of pressure relief valve? Thanks in advance for your help. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

that is the hydro vent. If you are working the tractor hard and the ambient temperature is high, then the transmission fluid will expand and dribble out the vent cap. Nothing to worry about. Happens to mine quite often during the summer months. I see this as an automatic hydro fluid level control device... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
