BX2230 Lights vs Dyno power capacity

Guess my 2001 BX2200 is in the 10% then. Sitting at the end of my drive, 100 yds from the house on a moon-less night with temps in the single digit F and blowing the fuse, I can assure you my engine did not continue to run. I wish it had. It was a cold walk to the neighbors to get help pushing the little beast back off the drive until I could figure out the problem (thanks to TBN for pointers to the solution).

Either way, it's not a good place to plug in your lights. I'll be moving mine once the snow clears and the temps come up to something workable in my barn.

Does the BX2200 have the 905 or the 902 engine? If it has the 905 it should have the internal stop solenoid that has 2 windings one to hold open the fuel and one to close. My BX2230 has the newer run of engines with the 902 and it only has the stop solenoid that is energized by a short timer at engine shut down.

I have the D905E engine in my 2004 BX23.
I went out to it last night started it up, let it run a minute or so then removed the 20amp fuse and it immediately died. Did it 3 times for testing purposes and it did the same.

Can't explain it other than to surmise that it could be that the D902 engine will cointinue to run while the D905 engine will die.
But then again my WSM is for the BX23 with the D905E engine and it indicates that a no shutdown via the key condition is more than likely a blown 20 amp fuse, go figure

I do know that my stop solenoid will click about 30 secs to a minute or so after shutdown and the tractors schematic shows a timer that controls the solenoid....

In any case, bad things can happen should something thats wired into that 20amp circuit blow the fuse
