BX2230 Ballast Box Weight?

I am building a ballast box for my BX2230 with a FEL. Does anybody know how much weight I need to put in the ballast box?

I have the factory box on my 1830 and my dealer told me it would weigh about 900-1000lbs when filled with the fine gravel I was using. If the one you are building is about the same size then that is what you will expect to have.

I thought the 3 point lift capacity for a BX machine was around 700 pounds??? The Kubota ballast box for my Grand L weighs 1250 pounds filled with concrete. Philip.

That's overkill for a BX. Should only need ~500lbs.

Specs on a new BX, the 3pt lift capacity is 670lbs.

My BX2230 manual states 300 pounds for the BX series. I think it was 500 pounds for the B series.
