Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
Has anyone gotten an answer from Kubota on the problem? Sounds like a bad design. I am about to pick my new BX22 up. I wonder if it is corrected in the new ones. Is it a safety issue?
Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
Certainly seems to me that it's a safety issue. If you are the operator that the problem slowly crept up on, then you are used to it, but if you jumped on the machine for the first time, it would catch you by surprise for sure. Imagine you took your foot off the gas in your car and it did the same thing...
That's why I really want to get it fixed, mine is bad.
Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
My B7100 has had an increasing problem with creep. I discovered a side plate by the linkage which covered a cam type washer thingy. Rotating this will change the stop/start function of the pedal. It now stops quickly when reversing but still creeps when going forward. More adjustment needed.
Note: the pedal does not stick. The only time it stuck was when a sapling knocked the v shaped centering pivot off of the roller.
Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
My HST pedal started sticking this weekend. I called the dealer today and they told me that they do not have a fix. They told me that other BX 2200 owners are complaining and they have asked Kubota to investigate the problem. They said that they will be talking with Kubota tomorrow regarding the issue and they will call me after their discussions with Kubota.
Looking through old threads it looks like this problem has been going on for more than a year.
Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
I noticed while operating my new bx22 with 8 hrs so far that the tractor creeps foreward a little. when it is in gear. I have a hilly lot so it usually stays in low. I try to rember to set the brake and put it in nuteral before I get off the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Daivd
Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
Well, I guess it's as common on the BX as "hood rattle", fuel tank leaks and tranny whine. I cleaned the entire linkage until it was spotless, then nailed it with silicon spray lube. Nothing, still sticking. Almost seems like a problem internal to the transmission. Definitely not 'creep' though. When the pedal is in the center/neutral position, the tractor doesn't budge. I'll eventually get around to calling the dealer...
Re: BX2200 HST pedal sticking (it\'s not the pivot)
The dealer that I purchased my BX2200 from is pretty large. They sell a lot of tractors. I could tell from talking with them that they are frustrated over this problem. They said that they have tried everything to fix it including reducing the shaft size. The problem seems to always come back.
I tried cleaning and lubing. It helped but it is back to sticking now. I think we are dealing with a design problem here.
When I hear back from the dealer I will let everyone know what Kubota said about the issue. It could be a safety issue. When it first happened to me, I was going down a grade and wanted to slow down to make a turn before an embankment. When I let up on the pedal the tractor did not slow and I ended up closer to the drop-off than I intended. It got my heart pumping a bit!
