BX22 MMM Height Control

The mower deck height control knob is missing from my tractor so I've no clue where the top lock setting should be. The rod that the knob was on turns easily. My question is... which direction do I turn the rod to raise and lock the MMM arms at their top most setting? The owners manual doesnt say. I've turned the rod to the right 6 or 7 revolutions and there is no stopping point. It just continues to turn. Will it stop? Will it screw all the way in and stop if I keep turning? Am I turning it the wrong direction OR do I have a new problem?

The reason for the question is I installed a BXpanded skid pan and want it locked in place. I dont have a MMM for this tractor.

It doesn't stop rotating. You'll have look under the tractor and keep trying different positions.

Thanks, Jesse B. I did notice when I turned the rod it seemed that I could feel clicks. Is that normal?

The height control is a spool with different notches cut in it. I would lower your mower down as far as it will go, then turn the knob left. When it hits the stop, raise the mower to the top and rotate about another 30 degrees and see if it stays up top as you lower it again.
I'd get a new knob as soon as you can though. Will make life easier.

Thanks, Ray. I dont and wont have a deck on this tractor. At the position the rod is in now I'm thinking it lowers the arms to their lowest point. The bxpanded skid plate will always be on the tractor accept when I'm doing maintenance. I'll check it a click at the time.
I'll get a new knob at some point

Mower or Under-Armor, the top setting is important. Here's the picture. The spool is shown there. A nut goes up inside it to attach to the shaft opposite the knob you are missing. I probably need to replace mine next year and/or have the finger welded up straight. It slips off way too often.
