Does Kubota make a FEL indicator (rod, tube, etc) for a BX22 or any BX? I just would like to install one if made.

My B2910 has a simple level indicator that works pretty good. It is simply a piece of steel strap that is welded on, that is parallel with the bucket bottom.

Simple and effective.

The attached photo is not the greatest, but you can see what I am talking about on the far end of the bucket. The bucket is pointing downwards...take that into consideration when viewing the photo... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My BX has the same thing, but it is of little value to me. I can't tell much from it because my eye sight isn't that good and I am a lousy judge of what is level without a level. My old tractor had a rod that was painted black and white, so I could tell exactly where level was. Where the black met the white. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Junkman, my B7100 had the rod and my B2710 had the flat strap like Henro's picture. I can't remember who it was, but someone quite some time ago posted a suggestion I thought was pretty good for the flat strap type, although I never did it. It was to take a clear plastic bottle, fill it about half full of a colored liquid and tape it, laying on its side, on top of that flat strap. With it level, you could draw a line down the side of the bottle that might help. And if it got torn off, you wouldn't lose much and could replace it.

That bottle of water trick is an excellent idea. Cheap and a sure to be effective. Sometimes the little things are the best things.

Well...I'll be darned!

I just realized that I never really try to make my bucket "level" as in carpenter-level level!

Normally I use the "level" indicator as an angle indicator, or in other words to indicate the relative position of the bucket bottom.

Bird, that water bottle trick is a neat idea. Thinking about it caused me to realize I don't have a level idicator at all. I have a bucket-bottom-position-indicator. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Yeah, I thought so, and I'd give credit where credit is due, expect I can't remember who posted that idea quite some time ago. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Do you have a photo? I can't picture it or how it would be attached or work. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Thanks.

I guess you would need a non-freezing liquid in the bottle since the level will be the same below 32 F, 0C, 273K.

I like the idea though. Being Polish, stranger things have happened! ....it is possible in my world! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

You could always use windshield washer fluid. It's already got the blue tint and won't freeze.
