BX1500 Starter Replacement

New member...and I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum.

I'm replacing the starter on my 2003 BX1500. I "engineered" my way through removing the old starter (took it apart in place because I couldn't get it out in one piece). I'm at a loss as to how to get the new starter installed. I've searched everywhere and have not been able to find any documentation/how-tos. Using some minor common sense, it looks like the only "easy" way is to lift the engine out.

Any help is great appreciated.

Welcome! You are definitely in the right place and I wish I could help but my starter is still in good shape. You've got me a bit concerned though. Not looking fwd to the day I have to change mine out. Have you pulled the engine cowling off?
