BX1500 Leftovers, what is everyone paying?

Not to sound elitist, but Bolens (by MTD) just ain't the type of machine that I could picture beside my Kubota (or 3 Kubotas). Unless I was picking it up in my FEL, of course.

Of course, I'm still trying to figure the whole thing out. I'm out there, doing a project and BAM...I need to till. Then BAM...I need to blade and load...then BAM, I need to till again...then mow, then chip, then till, then load, then blow snow, then blade, then till.

I use a BX1500 for blade and tiller jobs .
This frees up the BX23 for mowing fel work and BH jobs.
The other BX1500 is my around the house mower.

My bad. The 850 looks cool. 8.5 HP seems a little laughable now...seems like a walkbehind has that much power nowadays.

I got the 1966 new in June 66.
That little 8. 5 HP has done a lot of work in 41 years. I have a front blade on it.
The 1967 850 was acquired June of 1967 and has the 1966s tiller on the back.
~~~~~ The used BX1500 I have ordered with a front blade and a rear tiller Is to retire these 2 Bolens . ~~~~~~
I have no doubts that a BX1500 can take over these 2 tractors duties and pass with flying colors.

The new BX1500 I orderd when I made the deal on the used one has the MMM and will replace the CC GT2554 that i use for mowing around the house and other areas i can't get to with the BX23.
I don't think there is any contest between the new BX1500 and the CC 2554.

actually I've went from 4 to 6 tractors but that will change to 3 tractors once the 2 Bolens and the CC are taken out of service.

It would be interesing to see some pics of the original non MTD Bolens units, and the BX's -- We like pics!!

I know Canns Bilco in Alburtis has several 2230, 1500 leftovers on the floor. I haven't seen them discounted too much personally. I'm seeing used ones in my area for what a new one was a year ago. They hold the value something fierce. Sorta like a Harley ten years ago.

When you stop producing something people want it drives up the price of the existing inventory.

Although your looking for a 1500, I recently bought a left over bx2250 and it had a $500 rebate from Kubota. For price comparison, I got the 54" deck and 2775 snowblower for $11,700 plus local tax. Good luck

There is no BX 2250.

I'm looking for a price on just the tractor /no attachments or implements. and no mower.

Up date found it for $6200.
On its way should be here tomorrow.
