For quick results throw a tarp over it and put an electric heater, fan type, under the Tarp. Several hours should make a difference.

Also put a battery charger on the battery as it will been run down by the starting attemps.

Someone mentioned on anothe thread to check fuel deliver thru the injectors by removing the fuel injector, install it on the banjo fitting upside down, and see if you see it working while cranking.

Obviously, observe from a distance, you don't want to injure yourself while doing this.

You could also loosen the banjo fittings at the fuel injectors and check to make sure you have fuel reaching the injectors themselves, if you have water in the line or gelled fuel in the lines from the pump to the injectors that may help clear them as well.

Try the warming suggestions (tarp & lamp) and try some Power Service 911. www.powerservice.com/diesel_911.asp

It is for when you are stuck on the side of the road. At 9 degrees F (trust me on cold...some days that is our high), a little water in even "fresh" fuel becomes ice.

I'd throw some Power service in there as well. I drive a truck for a living, and I never re-fuel in the winter months without it. Never have had a problem throwing on my block heater and filling the tanks with Power Service. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks to all the advice I received here on TBN, I was finally able to get my machine running again. It appears that the problem was not jelling of the fuel but ice in the filters. When I removed both fuel filters, a plug of ice was clearly visible in the filter located in the engine compartment. I replaced both filters, cracked the injector fittings, bled the system and fired it up. The lesson that I learned from this experience is to never let the machine sit with an almost empty tank at very low temps. Its minus 6 this morning, and she fired up without a problem. Thanks again to all who offered advice.

That's great:I love happy endings.
DID you get the snow cleared too?

I learned here by reading a long time ago to never leave the tank almost empty or risk the adventure you just did.

Do you have a block heater for your machine? If not you'll do the engine a great service getting one on this year.

How much is a block heater for the BX23 or for other sub-compact tractors generally?? I'm planning on getting a BX24 this month and maybe I'll have the dealer install it before I pick it up.
