BX quick hitch multiple use?

I just picked up a BX2750D snow thrower this weekend (It's August, and I just bought a Snow Thrower!! - TractorByNet.com) I already have the quick hitch so I didn't need to add that to the price. I'm wondering if there are other users that use the hitch for both plowing and snow throwing and if it's easy to change over in the middle of the job. Removal of the plow is easy enough when it's warm and dry, but installing the equipment when it's covered in ice and snow might be a different story. Any experience with that?

I don't have the blade, but have taken my older 2750 on and off several times to replace chain, drive unit etc.

I find it works well even when cold and snow-covered, as long as you separate the front driveshaft in two and attach both pieces to their respective ends- then line up the 4 sides to the driveshaft and slide the blower on to the quick hitch. Trying to attach either end after the blower is on the hitch is extremely difficult.

I do have the quick hitch with the front snow blower and plow on my BX23. It does change over pretty easy since the prop shaft is installed in the quick hitch so the snow blower only needs to have a short prop shaft and you don't have to crawl under the tractor to change it out. My plow works great until the snow gets really deep, like 18 inches, and that's when I switch out to the snow blower. 2 winters ago we had 4 days of 18 inches each night and that's when I decided my wife needed a snow blower for her birthday.
Last winter I put the blower on but the ground hadn't frozen yet even though we had quite a bit of snow and I ended up breaking 2 shear pins so the plow was put on and we didn't have any more deep snows.
Even though I haven't used the blower much yet, its great to have in the arsenal (and a garage to store it in so its warm!)

I just bought a 51" Landpride for my bx1860 too just a couple weeks ago! Wish I would have had it last year! Now of course it won't snow this year.. haha...
