I keep losing the wing nuts/knobs and the washer that hold the MMM belt cover on. Any tips on how to keep these from coming off? I assume they are rattling loose. I think I've lost 3 or 4 in the past year or 2. You would think I would start finding them in the yard. I may just try to find a regular nut to replace them with this time. Anyone else have this problem?

I’ve lost at least one of mine. I replaced it with a nut a washer.

Get some LockTite. Not sure which color is for light duty, but that will do the trick.

Get the Hillman Universal Knob and put a nylock nut in it.

If you boooger up the threads on the NUT ( they are Brass) a little, the nut wont vibrate loose.
Use a pin and hammer to flatten out a couple of threads, that should be enough.

Was over thirty years ago we used a rubber like paste on the thread, it didn't set but it stopped nuts rattling off, it may well be a Loctite product.
You could always drill a hole in the 'wing' on the nut and attach a wire to tether it so it doesn't get lost, I have done this on some of my yacht fittings swaging on a 1mm wire.
