I ran the engine for about 30 minutes after to remove any air pockets. Is there any way to verify any they've actually been removed before I plug in the heater for the first time, or do we just assume that running the motor takes care of that? Thanks again

I'm thinking if the upper rad hose is hot, the anti-freeze is circulating. If so, go for it.

That was my thinking. Thanks.

I have had two block heaters go bad in three seasons on my bx2370.
They must be garbage, a block heater should last a decade when only being used 4 months a year for an hour at a time.
I put an ammeter on the circuit to monitor the current and sure enough the second heater failed this morning.
