I was cutting grass and needed to raise the front bucket to clear a fence and it would not go up. All other functions of the loaded worked but up.

I pulled off the screen panel so I could see the linkage and when I did a nut fell out. I saw one of the threaded shafts at the linkage rods was missing any kind of nut so I put it on and started tightening down. It seemed to keep turning and turning so I stopped turning and gave it a try. It worked again.

My question is: there are double nuts on the other shafts and the outer nut looks different than the one I put back on. Should there be a second nut on this one as well so it will lock the nut in place? Should the first nut be tight as not to turn any more? I don't want to damage it. Is there a parts diagram that shows the linkage and parts?

Thanks in advance...

Never mind...I found the exploded view of the linkage on MESSICK'S site. I would recommend getting the parts diagram and list for your tractor there as well. Thanks Messick's.
